• Admission & Fees


Admission to undergraduate programs is possible through three types of intake: A quota system for high achievers from senior high schools in the 14 southern provinces of Thailand. The annual quota constitutes 50% of the intake; By meeting the requirements of the National University Entrance Examinations organized by the Ministry of Education; By direct entrance examination.

 
Graduate Studies Admission Requirements
All applicants need to meet WU Graduate Studies admission requirements and documentation requirements: 
 
 
Master’s Degree Program
In general, the University requires:
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the related field
(a) A GPA of 2.50 or equivalent or
(b) A GPA of 2.00 or equivalent and a GPA of 2.75 in major of related field of study will be taken or equivalent or 
 
(c) A GPA of 2.00 and certificate from supervisor showing work experiences in related field of study for at least 1 year or
(d) Approval from postgraduate program committee
• Meet special qualifications requirement determined by the postgraduate program committee
• Health certificate signed by medical practitioner showing that the applicant does not have any symptoms or suffering from contagious or acute diseases.
 
 
Doctoral Degree Program
In general, the University requires:
• A master’s degree or equivalent in the related field, or
• A good bachelor’s degree with GPA 3.25 or equivalent in the related field and posses published academic output or patented output, and
• Meet special qualifications requirement to be determined by the postgraduate program committee
• Health certificate signed by medical practitioners showing that the applicant does not have any symptoms or suffering from contagious or acute diseases.
 
 
English Language Requirements
      All applicants are expected to have a practical command of the English Language:
with a TOEFL score of 500 or equivalent.
 
 
Academic Year
The academic year (June – May) follows a trimester system of 3 terms consisting of 12 weeks each.
Trimester 1  June - September
Trimester 2  September - December
Trimester 3  January - April

Tuition fees to be paid as capitation every trimester.
 
Costs of Living
                  The estimated weekly budget is approximately 4,000 Baht (Off-campus Accommodation 750, Food 1,450, Public Transport 350, Health costs 200, Laundry 250, Clothing & Entertainment 500, and Book & Stationary 500. These estimates do not cover the cost of running a motor vehicle, tuition fees and will vary according to individual students’ lifestyles.
