Objectives
This programme produces Master's and Doctoral graduates in biotechnology to meet the growing demand for highly trained personnel in the public and private sectors. Graduates will be equipped not only with a sound working knowledge of biotechnology but also an ability to keep abreast of developments in the field through their own research activities after graduation. They will be able to transfer technology and apply their knowledge in biotechnology to further advance the overall economic and social development of the country.

Objectives
These programmes are intended for the academic and professional development of scientists, research workers, teachers, and university lecturers as well as professional specialists working in the fields of agriculture and agricultural-related industries. Graduates will have up-to-date knowledge and high level research skills in order to deal with the developmental problems related to their work. They will also be equipped with technical knowledge on the development and application of appropriate modern technology and high quality resources in their respective fields of work.
Programmes are offered in the following disciplines:
a. Aquaculture
b. Animal Science
c. Food science
d. Plant Science
Research
The School of Agricultural Technology has an active research profile, including research projects into tiger shrimp production in southern Thailand; the use of pesticides and local crops; organic pest control in local fruit production; aquaculture diseases; and studies into salinity and the tolerance of certain fish species.
