The Startup Thailand League 2019 has been running in 4 regions of Thailand. The competition opens opportunities for undergraduate students to create business models that can generate profits and bring about changes in society. At the competition at Prince of Songkla University, hundreds of students from universities in southern Thailand were selected to join the event including four teams from Walailak University. Mr. Sean Pastorfide, Ms. Chelsea Yimaye and Ms. Tachi Wangmo, first year students from Walailak University International College (WUIC), participated this regional competition with project "Errund", a mobile application that stand for "Run an Errand". It is an application that acts as a market for service providing in a local area and specifically for menial jobs. A "seeker" will be able to post an errand that can be done by "runners" for the agreed price. Based from this errand fee, commission will be collected as source of income for the owners. Advertisements will also be another source of income. With all these at hand, there is a projected return of investment for less than a year.

The Team from WUIC won the third prize at the competition and passed to the Demo Day at STARTUP Thailand 2019. Let’s root for them to win again at the national stage which will be held at the end of July.
