On 10 February 2021, Dr. Guillaume Da, Attaché for Scientific and Higher Education Cooperation and his respective team from French Embassy in Thailand shared virtual presentation on Study in France: Scholarship and Mobility Programs via Zoom meeting.

In this event, staff and faculty members from Walailak University led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Surin Maisrikrod, Vice-President for Global Engagement and Faculty Development attended the virtual meeting. Mr. Vice-President gave a welcome speech and expressed his thankfulness to Campus France team for sharing valuable information regarding the scholarship and mobility opportunities to study and conduct joint research in France. Walailak University has existing and active research collaboration projects with universities in France such as Universite de Bordeaux, Universite de Rennes, University of Toulouse and the university would like to promote more research collaborations and encourage our academic staff to publish more papers with French co-authors.

Dr. Guillaume Da and his team made a comprehensive presentation, explaining life in France, the number of universities and schools in France, and scholarships and mobility programs offered by various institutions (e.g. the Franco-Thai Scholarship, PHC Siam Mobility Program). Financial assistance is also available for Thai students and researchers for short-term study or research in France. The distinguished delegates also highlighted the fact that there are also several programs offered in English language in France and the Campus France team can be of assistance in connecting collaborations between Walailak University and French universities.
