The Tourism Industry program aims to produce graduates who have both theoretical knowledge and practical skills for the tourism and hospitality industry. The areas of concentration are designed to meet the local, regional and national trained manpower needs of the country’s growing tourism industry.
Students intending to study in this program should be service-minded and interested in the natural and cultural dimensions of travel and recreation. The study delivery incorporates an experiential component including field studies, interdisciplinary learning, and the practical application of discipline-related concepts and theories.
Tour Operation Business
The study of Tour Operation Business aims to study all principles and practices concerned tour and travel businesses. This area provides students with the opportunity to gain the necessary knowledge, skills and confidence for their chosen careers.
Tourism Resource Management
The study of The Tourism Resource Management aims to provide principles and guidelines for managing tourism resources such as natural, arts and cultural, religious, historical tourists’ attractions. It focuses on planning and assessment, relevant regulations, and sustainability.
Lodging, Resort, and Spa
The study of Lodging, Resort, and Spa aims to provide concrete fundamentals of managing lodging, resort, and spa businesses. Nonetheless, practical learning is a must to form necessary skills for lodging and spa services.
Kitchen and Restaurant Business
This area of concentration focuses on fundamental knowledge, practical skills and management perspectives required for the kitchen operation and food serviced industry. Students must attend on-campus lectures and practical lessons, as well as off-campus site visits, task observations and practical classes at an international standard food-serviced operator.
Graduates from the program will be able to work efficiently and effectively in the public and private sectors of the tourism industry, including the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), national and historical Parks, tour and cruise companies, resorts and hotels, and airlines. They may also set up and operate their own tourism and other related businesses.
