Friday, 20 April 2012, Malaysia Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) together with the delegate from Walailak University, Thailand (WU) celebrated 33 participants from Walailak University, Thailand at the Closing Ceremony Dinner in conjunction with the "Summer Camp-English For Survival" (SUC-ES) organized by Department of International Languages (DIL), Centre for Communication Technology and Human Development, Universiti Malaysia Perlis and International Relations Office of Walailak University.
 

Program Director of SUC-ES, Mr. Shafiq Hizwari Md Hashim in his welcoming speech has stated that it has been a groundbreaking success due to the intensity and outcomes of the project. Although a number of similar programs have been held before, it brought different challenges especially to the new staff at DIL. He also congratulated the 33 participants who have completed the program which aims to boost confidence and language proficiency.
 

"I hope this program has been enriching and fulfilling to the participants, it is also to acknowledge our strategic partners in Southern Thailand who have always been supportive and wholehearted in giving their commitments." He was quoted to say.
 

The event was also graced by the presence of the Vice Chancellor of UniMAP, Brig. General Dato' Prof. Dr. Kamarudin Hussin officiated the closing ceremony by striking the wood ball gimmick.
 

Also present are the Chair for PISKANITA of UniMAP, Datin Noridah Yangman; Director of Center for Cooperative Education Development, Asst. Prof. Dr. Padungsak Suksa-Ard; Chief Executive of Astronautic Technology (M) Sdn. Bhd. (ATSB), Dato' Dr. Ahmad Sabirin Arshad, and Prof. Ali Reshak who is a visiting professor at UniMAP.
