Israel Ambassador Visits Walailak University

 

On 27 August 2020 at the University Reception Room, Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University delighted to receive a courtesy visit by H.E. Dr. Meir Shlomo, Ambassador of Israel to Thailand and Mrs. Bracha Kookva-Shlomo, Wife of the Ambassador of Israel. Also present at the reception were Associate Professor Dr. Surin Maisrikrod, Vice-President for Global Engagement and Faculty Development, Associate Professor Dr. David Harding, Deputy Director of Center for International Affairs, Dr. Attanan Tachopisalwong, Director of Cooperative Education and Career Development and Associate Professor Dr. Manat Chaijan, Representative of School of Agricultural Technology. They discussed potential areas of cooperation in establishing Internships in Israeli universities for Walailak University students in the areas of agricultural technology; WU students participating in programs related to enterpreneurship and innovation; visiting professors from Isarael in various fields such as agricultural technology, management, and medical sciences to teach at Walailak University; and establishing dual degree programs with Israeli universities/institutions in the above-mentioned areas of studies. After the discussion, they toured the campus having a quick visit to Walailak Park and Walailak University Hospital.
