WUIC organized academic service, “WUIC English and Cultural Camp”

On Saturday, 17th July 2021, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Charun Bunyakan, Vice President for Academic Affairs presided over the opening ceremony of “WUIC English and Cultural Camp”, organized by Walailak University International College via Zoom Cloud Meeting system.

“WUIC English and Cultural Camp” was held during 17th-18th July 2021. This project was an academic service for Mathayom 6 students from Huasaibumrungrad School. Asst. Prof. Dr. Wijittra Petchakit, Acting Dean of WUIC was the project advisor and Dr. Suchita Manajit was the head of project. There were 46 students registered to participate in this activity.

This project was organized in response to the 20-year strategic plan of Walailak University in terms of academic services and the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations - Goal Number 4, “Ensuring that everyone has an inclusive and equal quality education”. Therefore, WUIC chose to provide academic services for Mathayom 6 students at Huasaibumrungrad School, located in Hua Sai District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. The purpose of this project was to provide academic and social skills for all participants, such as techniques for choosing the right faculty and university, English communication knowledge, Readiness to create a portfolio in English version, Preparation for interviews in both Thai and English as well as information about schools and courses provided at Walailak University. All sessions and activities were expected to benefit students in their future tertiary applications and gave them the opportunity to exchange and learn different cultures from foreign lecturers and students of WUIC.

“WUIC English and Cultural Camp” has been completed successfully and received very good feedbacks from participants’ satisfaction evaluation.
