WU Lecturer participated in the 2021 OSCE ASIAN CONFERENCE

Asst. Prof. Dr. Amporn Madden, head of the Center of Excellence on Women and Social Security, lecturer at the School of Languages and General Education, Walailak University, as a Thai representative in the ASEAN Women Peace Registry (AWPR), was invited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to speak at the 2021 OSCE Asian Conference on September 20 and 21, 2021.

Thailand, as Asian Partner for Co-operation of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), and Albania co-hosted the 2021 OSCE Asian Conference under the theme "Common Responses to Emerging Challenges in Advancing Comprehensive Security" via Zoom.

The department of European Affairs tasked Asst. Prof. Dr. Amporn Madden with providing an opinion on political and military dimensions on the topic "Strengthening the fight against transnational organized crime: adapting to the evolving situation." This speech focused on increasing regional trust and security in order to promote equality and meaningful participation of women in anti-transnational organized crime efforts.
