Walailak University International College Holds a Farewell Event for Exchange Students from North-West Institute of Management of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (NWIM RANEPA), Russia, today at Honor Hall, 4th Floor, Administration Building, Walailak University Hospital.

Seven students from NWIM RANEPA have joined an exchange program at Walailak University International College (WUIC) from September 2022 to December 2022.

On this occasion, Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak Unviersity, presided over the event and shared a piece of advice that the students could use for living a successful life.

Professor Sombat said: “When you study in class, you have learned Hard Power which you can use for your future. But all activities that you learn outside the classroom are also very important, and we call that Soft Power. Soft Power helps you develop leadership skills. If you have leadership skills, you can work at any organization. And when you show more of your leadership, others will respect you. And that is a key to success”.

Walailak University International College and the Center for International Affairs have taken very good care of the students. The students have joined several classes provided by Walailak University International College such as Principles of Management, Business Professional Development, Management of Human Resources, Thai Civilization and Global Citizen, and Golf class.

They were also given a tour of Nakhon Si Thammarat tourist attractions and cultural heritage sites, to learn about local culture and tradition, such as City Pillar Shrine, Suchart Supsin Puppet Museum, Wat Phra Mahathat Woramahawihan (Buddhist temple), and Kang Phrathat Market.

They also joined a beach cleaning activity at a beautiful beach in Sichon and learned about the local way of living. Ms. Karina Pivovarova, one of the exchange students, joined Miss Noppamas Beauty Pageant held by Walailak University and was crowned Miss Noppamas 2022.
