Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana, representing His Majesty the King, conferred degrees upon the graduates of Walailak University of Academic Year 2022. The commencement ceremony took place on 25 September 2023 in the main auditorium of Thaiburi Building at Walailak University. Chairperson of Walailak University Council, President of Walailak University, administrative team, and members of the public attended to receive Her Royal Highness.

On this occasion, Her Royal Highness bestowed the honorary Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Nursing to one qualified individual and conferred degrees to 1,271 graduates:  15 at the doctoral degree level, 55 at the master's degree level, and 1,201 at the bachelor's degree level. Her Royal Highness also conferred medals of honors to 34 graduates, plaques of exemplary service to two graduates who have demonstrated outstanding social contributions, plaques of merit to seven individuals who have significantly contributed to Walailak University, gold CB (Jor Por) pins to two outstanding researchers, and honorary pins upon five exceptional professors.

Walailak University has been in operation for 31 years. The university has advanced its operations emphasizing the goal of the university as a regional cornerstone and an internationally recognized institution, in line with its vision “To be an institution of good governance, a source of knowledge for critical problems facing the nation, to unfailingly address community needs, and to strive for international recognition for excellence.”

Until present, Walailak University has produced a total of 22 cohorts of bachelor's graduates, 22 cohorts of master's graduates, and 19 cohorts of doctoral graduates. There are a total of 86 programs being offered, categorized into 45 undergraduate programs, 20 master's degree programs, and 21 doctoral degree programs.
