RheinMain University of Applied Sciences to Send Exchange Students to Walailak University International College

RheinMain University of Applied Sciences (HSRM) plans to send exchange students to Walailak University International College (WUIC). This effort is part of the cooperation between WUIC and HSRM, established in 2022, focusing on student and staff mobility and academic collaboration.

Three students from Germany will join WUIC’s International Business Administration Program for six months, starting this September.

HSRM’s representative Prof. Steffen Böttrich paid a courtesy visit to WU President Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong today at the Honor Hall, and also met with WU executives including Vice President Siwarit Pongsakornrungsilp, Assistant to the President Suthasinee Sangkhum, Center for International Affairs Director Patnarin Supakorn, and Dean Pimlapas Pongsakornrungsilp of the School of Management.

During his visit from July 21-23, Prof. Steffen Böttrich toured the campus and captured footage of the facilities and environment. He plans to show this video to his students upon his return.

Dr. Suchita Manajit, Vice Dean of WUIC, said that RheinMain University of Applied Sciences and Walailak University International College have “maintained a close relationship” since signing the MOU in 2022. In June last year, Vice Dean Suchita was invited as a visiting professor to deliver a lecture on film and communication to HSRM students. She also participated in the university’s International Staff Week event, which emphasizes sustainability in internationalization and the utilization of digital opportunities.

The following September, President Sombat Thamrongthanyawong visited HSRM in Wiesbaden and signed a double master’s program in Creative Media Conception with HSRM President Professor Dr. Eva Waller. In the future, students from WU can take courses at HSRM and earn the master’s degree from it. Later in December, Professor Claudia Aymar from HSRM was invited to deliver a lecture for the Leadership and Organization course at WUIC, which she described the teaching experience as great and praised the students for their enthusiasm.

Dr. Suchita noted that HSRM has also granted a scholarship to one student from the School of Informatics to exchange in Germany.
