Walailak University Collaborates with HSRM Wiesbaden Business School on Master’s Student Mobility


Collaboration discussion at WU Center for International Affairs

Walailak University (WU) is set to collaborate with RheinMain University of Applied Sciences (HSRM) Wiesbaden Business School to promote master’s student mobility. The partnership aims to enhance students' hands-on experience through case studies and practical projects, particularly in healthcare administration.

This morning, at the WU Center for International Affairs (CIA) meeting room, faculty members from the School of Accountancy and Finance, School of Public Health, and College of Graduate Studies, along with representatives from the CIA, led by Dr. Suthasinee Sangkhum, Assistant to the President, welcomed Professor Dr. Marina Grusevaja, Vice Dean of HSRM Wiesbaden Business School, to discuss the collaboration.

The mobility program, scheduled to begin as early as November this year, or by January through March 2025 at the latest, aims to equip students with essential skills and hands-on experience to deepen their understanding of healthcare administration. Students from Wiesbaden Business School, Germany, will have the opportunity work on administration projects during their time at WU and attend related lectures.

Professor Dr. Marina Grusevaja said that the collaboration between WU and HSRM has grown stronger since the two universities signed an agreement in September last year. Currently, students from HSRM are exchanging at WU. She described today’s discussion as a step forward for WU's schools in working with Wiesbaden Business School.

“We are talking today about many plans for the future and the vision for our collaboration. Your university is developing very fast, and we see great potential to deepen our collaboration, which will benefit students from both institutions,” she said. 

Professor Dr. Marina also mentioned that in addition to fostering international networking, which will help students develop their personality. Immersing themselves in a different culture will help students view the world from a fresh point of view.

In the afternoon session, Professor Dr. Marina Grusevaja, along with WU faculty, paid a courtesy visit to WU President, Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, at the Honor Hall. Professor Dr. Sombat, on this occasion, briefed her about the university’s development and commitment to quality education and research advancement, and encouraged both parties to expand their collaboration further in the future.
