THA SALA, NAKHON SI THAMMARAT, 20 March 2024 – Walailak University, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Amonsak Sawusdee, Acting Director of the Center for Academic Services (CAS), and CAS staff members received 800,000 Baht from Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production Co. Ltd. to organize the 31st Marine Ecology Course. The donation was presented at the Research Building, the Center for Academic Services, Walailak University, by representatives from Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production Co. Ltd.
The 31st Marine Ecology Course will be held from March 23–May 13, 2024, aiming to provide free educational opportunities for participants to learn about the relationship between marine organisms and ecosystems, promote the scientific learning process, and raise awareness about ecosystem conservation and smart and sustainable resource utilization. The course is divided into two sessions, which include lectures and practical activities.
Walaiak University has been closely working together to organize the course for years to contribute to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, especially SDG 14: Life Below Water, SDG 4: Quality Education, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, as they are one of the core missions of Walailak University and Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production Co. Ltd.
