On 26 November 2024, Associate Professor Dr. Surin Maisrikrod, Vice President of Walailak University, welcomed a delegation of 17 administrators and staff from the Language Institute of Thammasat University, led by Associate Professor Dr. Supakorn Phoocharoensil, Director of the Language Institute. The visit aimed to explore and develop academic initiatives to achieve high-quality outcomes and meet international standards. The meeting, held in the Khao Luang Chamber at the Cooperative Education Building, provided an opportunity for the two institutions to exchange insights on operational achievements and management practices.
The visit included knowledge-sharing sessions covering various topics presented by multiple departments. Key highlights were shared by Assistant Professor Junifer Leal Bucol, Head of the Languages Department at the School of Languages and General Education, who discussed strategies to enhance English language learning opportunities for students. Dr. Jindarha Prampramote from the Center for Academic Services highlighted the university’s role in supporting community development through academic services aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Mr. Ekkarat Kaeokhiao, Head of the General Administration Department, showcased the systematic approach and success of Walailak University’s cooperative education programs.
During the discussions, the Language Institute of Thammasat University expressed their readiness to collaborate and host Walailak University students for cooperative education opportunities. The delegation also toured Walailak University’s campus, including visits to the Bota Sky Tower and the Botanical Park.
