On 17 November 2025, Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, graciously hosted a welcome luncheon and informal gathering for international students participating in exchange and internship programs at Walailak University. The students joined from partner institutions in Russia and Germany, representing:

The event was also attended by administrators and lecturers from Walailak University International College (WUIC), including Asst. Prof. Dr. Patnarin Supakorn, Dean of WUIC, together with faculty members from the international college.

Throughout the luncheon, the President engaged in warm and friendly conversation with the students, discussing academic interests, cultural exchange, and their experiences at Walailak University. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, reflecting the university’s strong commitment to fostering internationalization and strengthening global academic partnerships.
