This new invention is formulated as a method for treating acne. In particular, the present invention is based on a protein produced by bacteria from Genus Brevibacillus and which inhibits the growth of bacteria that cause acne. In order to treat acne, the bacteriocins produced by bacteria isolated from air, Brevibacillus laterosporus SA14, are applied topically in the infected area. The bacteriocins are combined with various ingredients to form a topical composition (Anti-acne gel), named MAC¢E (Figure 1). Once applied to the skin, the composition destroys the bacteria associated with acne, reducing inflammation and infection.
การประดิษฐ์ในครั้งนี้เกี่ยวข้องกับองค์ประกอบและวิธีการรักษาสิว โดยนำเอาโปรตีนชีวภาพ (แบคทีริโอซิน) ที่ผลิตโดยแบคทีเรียจาก Genus Brevibacillus ไปยับยั้งการเจริญเติบโตของแบคทีเรียที่ทำให้เกิดสิว ดังนั้นเพื่อเป็นการรักษาสิวจึงได้นำแบคทีริโอซินที่ใช้ร่วมกับส่วนผสมต่าง ๆ เพื่อสร้างองค์ประกอบเฉพาะในการเตรียมเป็นเจลป้องกันสิว ที่มีชื่อว่า MAC¢E (รูปที่ 1) โดยเมื่อนำไปใช้กับผิวแล้ว องค์ประกอบดังกล่าวจะทำลายเชื้อแบคทีเรียที่เกี่ยวข้องกับสิว ลดการอักเสบและการติดเชื้อ

MAC'E is a gel for preventing and treating acne and contains an anti-bacterial agent that inhibits the growth of the cutaneous bacteria believed to cause acne. In particular, the anti-bacterial is comprised of bacteriocin produced by Brevibacillus. The bacteriocin is a product of the SA14 strain of Brevibacillus laterosporus. The bacteriocins can be mixed into a topical preparation that is applied to the skin.
MAC'E เป็นผลิตภัณฑ์รักษาสิวที่มีองค์ประกอบในการป้องกันและรักษาสิวที่เป็นสารต่อต้านแบคทีเรียที่ยับยั้งการเจริญเติบโตของแบคทีเรียผิวหนังที่เชื่อว่าก่อให้เกิดสิว โดยองค์ประกอบดังกล่าวคือ สารโปรตีนชีวภาพที่เรียกว่า “แบคทีริโอซิน” ที่ผลิตโดย Brevibacillus laterosporus SA14 สามารถออกฤทธิ์ต้านแบคทีเรียก่อสิวเมื่อนำไปทาบริเวณผิวหนังที่มีสิว
This technological innovation can be applied to cosmetic sciences. It contributes to knowledge in biocosmetics and is compatible with sustainable use of natural products.
นวัตกรรมนี้สามารถใช้เป็นผลิตภัณฑ์ต้นแบบในการประยุกต์ใช้ประโยชน์จากแบคทีริโอซินเพื่อนำไปใช้เป็นเวชสำอางทดแทนสารเคมี เป็นการใช้ประโยชน์จากผลิตภัณฑ์ธรรมชาติอย่างยั่งยืน
