On 22 August 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Surin Maisrikrod, Vice President of Walailak University, led a delegation of executives, faculty members, and students from 17 schools to organize the Walailak to School event at Benjamarachutit School, Nakhon Si Thammarat. The event aimed to introduce Walailak University to high school students and provide academic guidance, encouraging them to pursue higher education at the university.

Mr. Nattawut Rattanaarun, Director of Benjamarachutit School, together with teachers and students from Mathayom 5 and 6, as well as network schools, warmly welcomed the university team. More than 1,200 students participated in the event at the Thatchamunee Auditorium, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere.

A key highlight of the program was a special lecture by Vice President Surin, a distinguished alumnus of Benjamarachutit School, on the topic “The New Generation... Studying at Walailak University, a World-Class Institution.” He emphasized that under the leadership of Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, Walailak University has upheld a policy of transparency and accountability while advancing rapidly to become a global frontier research university. He added that this progress offers the people of Nakhon Si Thammarat a valuable opportunity to have a world-class institution close to home. The university continues to strengthen its quality to serve as a pillar for the nation and to nurture capable graduates who can elevate Thai society to higher standards.

Director Nattawut expressed confidence in the quality of Walailak University, highlighting the long-standing collaboration between the two institutions in various areas such as English language education. The university has provided significant support in developing students’ English proficiency, aligning seamlessly with the school’s own language development initiatives.

With Walailak University’s growing reputation as a world-class institution, students at Benjamarachutit increasingly see it as a top choice for higher education. In the previous academic year, Walailak ranked second among universities selected by the school’s Mathayom 6 students. This year, the trend suggests it may rise to the number one spot, underscoring the university’s recognized quality and strong appeal among the younger generation.

The event also featured an exhibition space for academic guidance and counseling, supported by the university’s Center for Academic Services and 17 schools. Activities included interactive sessions with English subject teachers, focusing on strategies to enhance English teaching excellence.
