On September 26, 2025 – The Center for Cooperative Education and Career Development, Walailak University, warmly welcomed four executives from Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), led by Dr. Nur Salimah Alias from the Faculty of Business and Communication. The delegation also included Dr. Nuraminah Ramli (Faculty of Intelligent Computing), Dr. Nur Farhana Hayazi (Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology), and Madam Wardah Hanim Md Nor (Centre for Industrial and Government Linkages).

The visit aimed to enhance academic collaboration and discuss opportunities in Cooperative Education Practicum, focusing on both inbound and outbound cooperative education between the two institutions.

From July 29 to September 26, 2025, three UniMAP students successfully completed their Cooperative Education placement at the School of Engineering, Walailak University. The students were:

Miss Haniswati Binti Rahmat – Faculty of Business and Communication (New Media)

Miss Nor Anis Binti Ishak – Faculty of Chemical Engineering & Technology (Materials Engineering)

Mr. Mohamad Hakim Bin Mohamed – Faculty of Electronic Engineering (Computer Engineering)

They were supervised by Asst. Prof. Dr. Kamon Thinsurat, Asst. Prof. Dr. Kessara Seneesrisakul, and Dr. Md Eshrat E. Alahi, respectively.

The program provided students with academic enrichment, cultural immersion, soft skills development, and networking opportunities, equipping them with valuable experiences for their future careers.

Both universities reaffirmed their commitment to supporting at least five students annually under the cooperative education framework, further strengthening their partnership in producing work-ready graduates.

Walailak University is now open for international student applications to join its Cooperative Education and Internship Programs throughout the year. The university welcomes both short-term internships (1–3 months) and long-term internships (over 6 months), offering students valuable opportunities to gain academic, professional, and cultural experiences in Thailand.
