The Walailak University Council respectfully presented an Honorary Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Sustainable Business Management to Her Majesty the Queen, and humbly offered a monetary contribution for royal charitable purposes.

On 25 January 2025, at 6:59 p.m., His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen graciously granted a royal audience at Amphorn Sathan Residential Hall, Dusit Palace, to executives of Walailak University and other distinguished individuals.

On this occasion, Mr. Teerachai Chemnasiri, Chairman of the Walailak University Council, led the University’s executive delegation to respectfully present Her Majesty the Queen with an Honorary Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Sustainable Business Management, together with the academic regalia. The delegation also humbly presented a monetary donation to His Majesty the King, to be bestowed for royal charitable purposes in accordance with His Majesty’s royal discretion.

Her Majesty the Queen is a figure of profound grace and virtue, endowed with far-reaching vision and serving as an exemplary model of diligence, compassion, and social responsibility. She has supported activities and initiatives that enhance the quality of life of the people in all dimensions - environmental, economic, and social. Her Majesty has actively promoted cooperation among the public sector, private sector, and the people, while fostering a strong sense of shared responsibility.

One of Her Majesty’s notable royal engagements includes her visits to the Laem Phak Bia Environmental Research and Development Project under royal initiative in Ban Laem District, Phetchaburi Province. The project applies natural processes to manage wastewater and community waste, encourages public participation in resource conservation, and extends knowledge toward the development of a circular economy. In addition, Her Majesty has supported mangrove forest restoration projects, volunteer development activities, and the promotion of community livelihoods in remote areas, thereby enhancing quality of life alongside the preservation of natural resources and local culture.

Her Majesty exemplifies leadership grounded in ethics and moral integrity, setting a balanced model of governance that harmonizes economic progress with social well-being - a vital foundation for national stability and sustainable development.

In recognition of Her Majesty’s distinguished contributions and exceptional leadership in advancing sustainable development, the Walailak University Council, at its 6/2025 meeting held on 12 July 2025, unanimously resolved to respectfully seek royal permission to confer upon Her Majesty the Queen the Honorary Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Sustainable Business Management. This conferral expresses the University’s profound gratitude for Her Majesty’s benevolence and outstanding royal contributions, reflecting her visionary leadership in driving positive change and her enduring commitment to fostering sustainable prosperity and well-being for the Thai people.
