THA SALA, NAKHON SI THAMMARAT, 10 June 2026 — Walailak University, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Suchita Manajit and Dr. Konrawan Rattanaburi from the School of Accountancy and Finance, together with staff from the Center for Academic Services, visited local restaurants in Tha Sala District to discuss the challenges, needs, and opportunities related to serving international customers. The visit also explored the development of Thai-English menu boards as a tool to enhance communication and attract more international visitors.

The activity was conducted under the Tha Sala Global – The Global Neighbour Initiative, which has been implemented for more than five years. The initiative aims to strengthen the capacity of local restaurant workers through English communication workshops designed to improve interactions with foreign customers, as well as cooking-related activities that promote local culinary culture.

This year, six local restaurants participated in the initiative, including Proud Cafecamp, Roti Sun, Lun Burger, Aungpau Dimsum, Kinteaw Chamto, and Kori Natap.

Following discussions with restaurant owners and staff, Asst. Prof. Dr. Suchita Manajit and Dr. Konrawan Rattanaburi will use the feedback and recommendations gathered to further develop and improve future workshops under the initiative.
