Back to Mobility: Walailak University’s Team from School of Allied Health Sciences visits the USA for academic collaboration and hands-on professional trainings


 

   Assoc.Prof.Dr. Jitbanjong Tangpong, Dean of the School of Allied Health Sciences, Walailak University, revealed the recent visit together with Dr. Kantapit Kongpol and Ajarn Dr. Sirirat Surinkaew, lecturers of the School of Allied Health Sciences and 4th year students in Bilingual Medical Technology program, to leading universities in the United States, including University of Florida, University of Kentucky and North Dakota State University. The visit is aimed to forge collaboration in research and development of academic staff and students as guided by the school’s vision for internationalization. 


     Participating students got an opportunity to learn about advanced medical technologies, language and culture and gain hands-on professional experience in order to integrate in their future learning and life after graduation. This one - semester mobility program was supported by 100,000 Thai baht sponsorship from the school. As for the young-generation lecturer, the program meets their needs for developing the relationship and networking for future collaboration.

   


    The School of Allied Health Sciences has taken action in expanding overseas network by arranging the Mini symposium joined by scholars from countries across the world including the USA, European counties, Japan, fellow ASEAN countries and others under the MOU. The scheme is expected to create knowledge sharing platform, research collaboration and integration into the lecturers’ pedagogic practices because Walailak University’s vision is aimed toward creating graduates equipped with knowledge, virtue, professionalism and responsibility for the society. These have been regarded as the values ensuring the graduates’ employability worldwide.
