For social skills, activities designed to instill the value of gratitude, disciplines, volunteering, leadership, and other important interpersonal and intrapersonal skills are arranged all year round. Each of the activities is co-organized with Walailak University student associations, clubs as well as schools and colleges.

“We believe that by doing extracurricular activities, students will get to absorb the process of working as part of a team, management, and learn about leadership. They also get to be both a follower and leader in a group meaning learning to collaborate with others. Getting to exchange knowledge and experience with external organizations will help to grow decision-making skills in various matters which comes in handy when entering the employment world.” Assoc.     Students’ physical and mental well-being is another priority. For mental health, the department has established the Smile and Smart center to provide counseling for the students dealing with stress, pressure, adjustment to the new environment, and other issues related to personal and academic matters. The program is administered by professional therapists specializing in psychological counseling.  Likewise, there are facilities to ensure the students’ physical well-being, mainly the Center for Culture and Sports, providing sports classes to promote awareness of exercise. In terms of the facilities, stadiums, park, Botanic Garden, Bota sky tower, Bota Cactus Dome, Herbal Garden, and other WU-defining check-in spots are ready to serve as recreational spots.
