Walailak University hosting the 1st TSEN Conference 2022 to Strengthen the Collaboration Network among Thailand’s Scientific Equipment Centers


   

     Walailak University hosts the 1st Thailand Scientific Equipment Center Network Conference (TSEN) to strengthen Thailand scientific equipment center network to enhance the laboratory’s standards in analysis of network’s partners between 21 and 22 July 2022. The event scores a turnout of over 300 attendees. 


   Associate Prof. Dr.  Sarawoot Palipoch, Acting-Vice president of Walailak University, presided over the conference. Dr. Nattpon Wuttiphan, Secretary of Thailand Scientific Equipment Center network, gave a briefing of the conference at Srithammarat Conference Hall, 3rd Floor, Building of Architecture and Design, Walailak University. 


    Associate Prof. Dr.  Sarawoot Palipoch stated that over the past 6 years, Walailak University has entered the era of change and been working toward being a world class research university. The university is committed to producing quality graduates, so there have been implemented an educational reform based on The United Kingdom Professional Standards Framework (UKPSF), the United Kingdoms. Currently, the number of Walailak University’s faculty members having been successfully assessed against the UKPSF has exceeded 99 percent, the highest in the country.  


    Besides teaching and learning, Walailak University prioritizes provision of small classes to enable the teacher to closely facilitate the students. Construction of buildings together with 170 Smart Classroom facility, the highest in Thailand, is funded by a budget of 100,000,000 million baht so that students have access to technology-aided learning and modern learning facilities. The TSEN conference is aligned with the university’s goal in striking for advance technology-aided teaching and learning. 
Dr. Nattpon Wuttiphan said that the objective of the TSEN is to embolden Thailand Scientific Equipment Center Network Conference and promote the standard of laboratories. Besides, it is also to forge a collaboration network among laboratory officers, scientists,  engineers and members of the TSEN and officers overseeing the safety of a laboratory, management, scientific supply procurement, maintenance and personnel development. 


   Joining the event was Bara Scientific Co., Ltd giving a talk on “Fullautomated platform for TDM analysis in serum samples (Shimadzu On-Line Fully Automated Sample Preparation Module with LC-MS/MS)” by HORIBA (THAILAND) LIMITED “Reman confocal microscopy for Micro Pollution Inspection development method” by Absotec Co., Ltd Using SEM/FIB-SEM in life science”.
