Walailak University Organizes a Meeting to Celebrate Its Success with School Administrators in Nakhon Si Thammarat.


Walailak University’s Center for Educational Services organizes a meeting for school administrators in the Secondary Educational Service Area Nakhon Si Thammarat. The meeting’s purposes are to inform about the University’s success in being ranked at 1501+ by Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023 and to deliver an impression of the campus setting and cutting-edge educational system.

On 9 November 2022, Walailak University President Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong welcomed school administrators and guidance teachers in the Secondary Educational Service Area Nakhon Si Thammarat and gave a special talk titled University Management Strategies to the World Rankings: A Realistic Commitment. The event took place at Lecture Building 5, room 05301, with more than 300 participants.

Professor Dr. Sombat shared with the media that Walailak University had been ranked by Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023 at 1501+ out of roughly 26,000 universities worldwide, placing it 11th out of 18 Thai universities that were qualified and ranked this year. 

Walailak University invited the school administrators and teachers to jointly celebrate this achievement, which was made possible by everyone's cooperation. 

As one of the top research universities in the world, Walailak University has put in a lot of effort to improve its quality. The caliber of the WU faculty and researchers is demonstrated by more than 700 articles published in international journals in the past year. Now, Walailak University is preparing for the 2023 freshmen intake, which is estimated to be over 4,000 applicants.
