Walailak University organized a ceremony on the auspicious occasion of Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana’s birthday anniversary on July 4, 2024. The event was held to express deep gratitude and reverence for Her Royal Highness's benevolence and dedication to the well-being of the people and the nation.

Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, led the university's administrators, faculty members, staff, and students in the ceremony. Representatives from public and private sectors, as well as local residents, also attended the event held at the Thai Buri Auditorium.

During the ceremony, attendees watched a video highlighting Her Royal Highness's contributions to the welfare of the Thai people. Representatives from various university organizations, the Chairman of the Walailak University Student Council, and representatives from the Walailak Demonstration Community, as well as public and private sectors, then offered royal tributes in front of her portrait.

After that, Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong presented a floral tribute, read a blessing message, and the university students performed a traditional dance. Following this, attendees signed a book of blessings, wishing her good health, happiness, and longevity.

University staff, students, and the general public also donated blood, participated in volunteer activities to clean the university premises, and were invited to sign the blessing book and visit the online exhibition honoring Her Royal Highness via the university’s website, www.wu.ac.th, from July 1-15, 2024.
