The Center for Cultural and Sports Promotion at Walailak University has been awarded the Honorary Recognition for Outstanding Contribution to the Promotion and Preservation of Cultural Heritage and Wisdom 2025 in the field of Nora performing arts. The award was presented by the Department of Cultural Promotion, Ministry of Culture.

The recognition was officially announced following the resolution of the 1/2025 Meeting of the Committee for the Promotion and Preservation of Cultural Heritage and Wisdom, held on 15 August 2025 at the Ministry of Culture Conference Center, Watthanathamvisit Building, 8th floor, and chaired by the Minister of Culture.

The Center’s achievements stand out for its commitment to conserving and disseminating knowledge of Nora performing arts both nationally and internationally. Guided by a strategy focused on raising awareness and appreciation of Nora’s cultural value, the Center has promoted knowledge exchange and built strong collaborative networks through training and performance development. These efforts ensure the sustainable preservation and transmission of this art form.

In addition, the Center has adapted its cultural promotion approach to align with the evolving digital society and has established the Walailak Nora Learning Center to fully and effectively support its mission.
