On 3 September 2025, the Digital Marketing and Branding Program, School of Management, Walailak University, in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), organized “Walailak Marketing Day 2025” under the theme “A Platform for Creativity and Knowledge Sharing in Digital Marketing and Branding.”

The event served as a stage for students to apply their classroom knowledge in real-world contexts as marketing consultants, while also developing ideas and innovations to help drive economic and social growth at the local level.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Dr. Panpermsak Arunee, Assistant Permanent Secretary of MHESI, with Associate Professor Dr. Surin Maisrikrod, Vice President of Walailak University, delivering the welcome address. The event drew a large number of lecturers, students, and high school participants from across Nakhon Si Thammarat Province at the Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Natural History Museum, Walailak University.

Assistant Professor Dr. Pimlapas Pongsakornrungsit, Dean of the School of Management, explained that the aim of Walailak Marketing Day 2025 was to enhance the digital skills and potential of students and youth in preparation for the fast-changing world. The event also created a platform for knowledge exchange among high school students, university students, and experts, while encouraging the use of innovations such as AI and personalization marketing to add value to local products and services - paving the way for sustainable economic and social development.

Associate Professor Dr. Siwarit Pongsakornrungsilp, Vice President of Walailak University and Head of the Digital Marketing Program, highlighted that the activities reflected how classroom knowledge was translated into practice. Students, working in groups as “marketing consultants,” conducted field studies, integrated their knowledge, and designed innovations tailored to the specific needs of local communities. These efforts aim to enhance product image and strengthen competitiveness in the digital marketplace.

“The works presented today showcase the students’ ability to apply classroom learning to real-world practice. They also serve as an important mechanism to drive local economic and social development by creating added value for community products and services. At the same time, these efforts inspire Thai youth to become socially responsible and sustainability-minded digital marketers,” said Associate Professor Dr. Siwarit.

In addition, the event featured a special keynote speech by Mr. Sangchai Theerakulwanich, Strategic Chairman of the Federation of Thai SMEs, on the topic “From Ideas to Brands: Achieving Success in the Digital Marketing World.” His lecture shared insights and trends in marketing from past to present, offering guidance on transforming ideas into strong brands capable of creating real value in the digital economy.
