On 20 December 2025, Mr. Teerachai Chemnasiri, Chairman of the Walailak University Council, together with Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, officially signed the Performance Agreement for Fiscal Year 2026. The signing ceremony was held at the Naiwiphas Meeting Room, Walailak University Coordination Office in Bangkok during the 11th University Council Meeting for 2025.

The signing of the performance agreement marks a significant commitment to advancing Walailak University through a proactive and results-driven strategic framework. The agreement places strong emphasis on setting policy-level targets supported by key performance indicators (KPIs) that clearly reflect concrete outcomes and measurable institutional progress.

In line with the University’s long-term vision, the agreement also underscores Walailak University’s determination to elevate its standing on the global stage and move steadily toward its goal of becoming a World-Class University. 

Moreover, the agreement serves as a mechanism for translating strategic policies into practical action. Institutional goals are cascaded from the executive level into performance commitments across all levels of the University, ensuring that administrators, faculty members, and staff work in alignment toward shared institutional development.

Beyond a formal administrative process, the signing reflects a shared commitment at the highest leadership level to continuously enhancing the quality of education, research, and academic services. Through this unified effort, Walailak University aims to generate lasting benefits for society and sustainably strengthen its international recognition and academic standing.
