 Walailak University and the Open University of Fujian, China Discussing Collaboration in Academics

   

  Prof. Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, Acting President of Walailak University accompanied by Asst. Prof. Dr. Patnarin Supakorn, Acting Director of Center for International Affairs and an executive team of Walailak University welcomed Mr. Mingguang Zhao, Executive Dean, College of Overseas Chinese, The Open University of Fujian, China and his team to join a meeting aimed for educational collaboration. The meeting took place on 19th April 2022 at Hall of Honor and Chor Pradu meeting room, Administration Building, Walailak Hospital.

  The event is aimed toward expanding educational collaboration to attract Chinese students to pursue undergraduate degrees, and postgraduate degrees at Walailak University. Asst. Prof. Dr. Patnarin mentioned an MOU signing to take an initiative of founding The Open University of Fujian, Walailak University campus. The new campus will serve as a platform for learning about Chinese culture and coordinating Chinese culture-related workshops and other activities for Thai students and academic members of staff. It is also intended to be a help center for prospective Chinese students. 

 

   The two institutes discussed further about admission of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees as well as future internship projects in China. On this occasion, deans of School of Public Health, School of Management, School of Nursing, School of Allied Health, School of Pharmacy, School of Sciences, Walailak University International College (WUIC), College of Graduate Studies attended the meeting to provide information on curriculums.
