On 25th October 2019, Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University and Assistant Professor Dr. Janya Chanchaichujit, Acting Director of the Center for International Affairs attended the 14th CRISU-CUPT Conference (the Council of Rector of Indonesia State University (CRISU) - the Council of University President of Thailand (CUPT) ) at Bali, Indonesia.

The 14th CRISU-CUPT Conference has been organized by the Council of University President of Thailand (CUPT) in cooperation with the Council of Rector of Indonesia State University (CRISU) under the theme “Higher Education in the Digital Era” during 24th-26th October 2019 at Udayana International Convention Center, Udayana University, Kampus Jimbaran, Bali, Indonesia.

It is an annual regularly event for university presidents from Thailand and Indonesia to share visions, knowledge, and experiences influencing the higher education in both countries. There were 500 participants including 100 universities from Thailand and Indonesia attended the conference.
